Moving on up!

My husband and I will be closing on our new home today! Tonight, I will hold the keys to our 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 2 car garage, fenced in, all tile floored, great located home! I am kind of in shock. We are moving from such a small trailer into this house and we actually have room! Room for what? Well, I don't know. Our dog, maybe another dog, maybe a baby? Who knows?

All I know is that we are upgrading and I couldn't be happier!

We've made a lot of memories in that little ol' trailer in North Lakeland. Went through a lot of things and learned alot while we were there. I will kinda miss it :)

Here's to the home where we began our journey together and to the new home that will house plenty of wonderful moments to come!

Our old backyard. See the owl??!

My papa built this entertainment center (designed by my hubby) for our wedding gift!

Our old living room

Our NEW HOME 30 minutes away from the old one!

Our new Living Room! (well the view from the living room to the dining room and kitchen!)

Our new back yard! SPACIOUS with a lake view

I am my worst enemy!

I am THE worst when it comes to talking myself out of things. Every morning, I set my alarm to wake up early to exercise AND every morning I hit the snooze button several times.

I talk myself out of getting up that early, then I talk myself out of exercising at all in the morning. I reluctantly drag myself out of bed, get ready in 30 minutes and then head to work with a full belly, because unlike ME, my husband gets up early and makes breakfast for us! Once I get home from work, I talk myself out of walking my dog or doing a workout on the Wii. I talk myself out of eating healthy and trying not to get seconds, because who wants to be hungry before bedtime???!?! And my husband's cooking is just extravagant! I'm talking good ol' home cooking. He can make peas and carrots taste good! ;-)

I just can't believe how much I can talk myself out of doing. If I could only do it the other way around and talk myself into doing things I want to do and NEED to do! Self-motivation is the key! I think I lost that somewhere along the way and am desperate to get it back. Let's see if I can learn to talk myself out of talking myself out of something today!

This weekend, we went putt-putt golfing at Pirates Cove with my brother-in-law and his gorgeous girlfriend. Talk about a workout! My legs are so sore from two hours of squatting and bending and climbing stairs at that place....I don't see why I should overextend myself with exercising today...SEEEE--THAT's what I'm talking about! I totally can make up ANY excuse as to why I shouldn't do something!

3rd times the charm!

Sanibel Island? Daytona? The Keys? Another cruise? Nah. We chose St Augustine. We celebrated 3 years of blissful marriage with a weekend in St Augustine. I had never been and Brian insisted that we visit several times before. So, I gave in after he said we could have a nice dinner by the water, cuz you know this girl LOVES food!
We packed our bags Thursday morning and left that night. Brian picked our hotel, the Best Western off of the highway. I was nervous about it, but trusted his judgement. On the way up, I read through tons of reviews on my ipod, just to make sure ;-) As always- my man was right! The hotel was nice and we had tons of fun riding on the town trolley. We went to the St Augustine Beach early in the morning and enjoyed the beautiful sunrise! We ate at St Maria's Restaurant, where you can feed the seagulls-- i mean, fish. haha. We visited the old fort, the Fountain of Youth, and OF COURSE, the Gator Farm!
We actually witnessed a gator feeding! No, humans weren't involved in the diet.

I would like to go back again another time, just to spend some more time shopping and visiting museums, since we were on a tight time budget. Here's some photos of our grand ol' time!

Hello Sunshine!

Spring has come upon us and my allergies have too ;-) Thankfully, we survived the beginning of April showers with 2 tornadoes! Unfortunately, our trailer and all belongings were blown away. We had to stay the night at a neigbor's house (it HAD to be the drug dealer's down the street of ALL places). We searched all evening for our dog, but only found traces of her hair and her chew toys. I spent all morning putting up Missing Dog signs!
April Fools!!!!

You all know I would NOT be writing this if my house was gone and my dog had died. I would be in the mental institution, with no access to the outside world.
Thank the Lord that everything was ok last night. Our small trailer did not get a scratch and our dog is just fine! There were a few limbs down in the yard, but nothing to brag about.
Seriously though, I am very thankful that God granted us safety through that storm, as some people were not so fortunate.
Hope you all have an awesome weekend!
